Thanks to the continuing support of Floridians purchasing the “End Breast Cancer” specialty license plate and the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation’s (FBCF) network of breast cancer supporters, survivors, and activists fighting to end breast cancer, we have invested over $5 million in dedicated funding for breast cancer education and research programs in the state of Florida.
Each year, FBCF releases funding to provide Education Grants for nonprofit organizations in the state of Florida. Striving to ensure Floridians receive the proper breast cancer education is one of the fundamental pillars of the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation's mission. We believe all women and men should have access to information that will empower them to be advocates for their own health by providing the tools necessary to assess individual risks and the knowldedge to recognize early signs and symptoms of breast cancer, regardless of income or where they live. Grants are awarded in support of innovative education programs throughout Florida for programs that aim to reach populations who would not otherwise have access to this potentially lifesaving information.
FBCF, along with those who generously support us with their talent, time, and resources, is working to better the lives of those facing breast cancer in Florida. Proposals for both Education and Scientific Grants are carefully selected through a peer-review process by FBCF Advocate Reviewers on the Education and Scientific Research Committees. If you would like to join the Education or Scientific Research Committee to become an Advocate Reviewer, please download the application here.
FBCF seeks to fund resourceful and innovative educational projects in four key areas:
