VOLUNTEER ORIENTATION

The Florida Breast Cancer Foundation  (FBCF) will begin holding monthly volunteer orientation meetings on the second Wednesday of each month, starting in January 2013.  The orientation sessions will be presented via conference call and are open to interested volunteers across the state.  The first session will be held January 9, 2013 at 2:00 PM.                 

The training sessions will answer the question:  What kinds of volunteer opportunities exist at the FBCF?  The Volunteer Orientation Training will cover: 

• FBCF Ambassador - Educating the community about the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation and what we do.
• Resource Development - Assisting the Foundation in identifying breast cancer support groups, breast cancer service groups and medical facilities in the volunteer’s home areas.                                   
• OutReach Events - Attending Health Fair events and/or fundraising events and helping us at our Advocacy Education Days and Shades of Pink Celebration parties.
