Do you want to make a difference in the metastatic breast cancer community and meet with other people living with metastatic breast cancer?
Being diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer can be overwhelming, and we here at the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation (FBCF) want to do all that we can to support the metastatic breast cancer community. It is only by working together will we end the suffering caused by breast cancer, and we invite you to apply for Living Beyond Breast Cancer’s Hear My Voice Metastatic Advocacy Program to continue to make a difference in the future of metastatic breast cancer patients, and to expand your support system through meeting others on similar journeys.
Hear My Voice provides tools and training to help people affected by metastatic breast cancer:
- use their personal story to raise awareness about the disease
- further their understanding of stage IV breast cancer
- advocate for others in their physical and digital communities
- connect with other people living with metastatic breast cancer
Whether you’re looking to advocate through blogging and social media, or speaking about your personal experiences, this program can help you “raise your voice” for metastatic breast cancer.
They are seeking a diverse pool of applicants, including applicants from all ethnic and racial backgrounds, sexual orientations and gender identities, and people with lower incomes.
The deadline to apply is January 26, 2022.
Participants accepted into the program will need to complete a virtual training which will consist of self-paced learning and live virtual sessions taking place on March 23, 2022 and April 7-9, 2022.*
