THANK YOU to all who came out to the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation (FBCF) Race 2 Cure 5k and Tribute Walk at Fort Mellon Park in Sanford. The day couldn’t have been more perfect for a run (or walk!) to celebrate life while honoring those we have lost too soon as we rallied to raise funds for breast cancer. We also thank all of our virtual runners and walkers for participating and being with us in spirit, and also to all those who couldn’t make it but made a donation.

We give our biggest THANK YOU to the team at Orlando Sports Foundation, led by Executive Director, Alan Gooch, for putting together a fantastic event and for being such phenomenal partners in the fight against breast cancer. Thank you to our thrift store partner, Pickups for Breast Cancer, for their ongoing support and driving in with a donation truck, and to our south Florida partners, the Palm Beach Stars soccer team, for making the trip to Central Florida to show their support. Thank you to James Keegan, male breast cancer survivor and member of the Male Breast Cancer Coalition for joining us with his wife, Pat. Thank you to FBCF Board Director, Valencia Robinson for being with us.

We also thank all of our AMAZING FBCF volunteers for their hard work, dedication, passion, and for ALWAYS going the extra mile for us: Central Florida Planning Committee Chair, Cheryl Outlin, Bonnie Kelly, Susan Seedarsan, Denise London, Irene Clarke Raymond, Joanne Cobbs, Audrey O'Shaughnessy, Terlisa Sheppard and daughter Alyah Sheppard, Lynette and Robert Jones, Alex Kitain, Kathleen Dietz, Dabaram Rampersad, Charles Thomas, Esthela Montgomery, and David DeJohn. And a big THANK YOU and congratulations to Bonnie Kelly for being one of the top two fundraisers at this year’s Race 2 Cure! We'd also like to give a special shout out to Kathleen Dietz for being there to support us while also undergoing radiation treatment. Last, but certainly not least, we thank our littlest FBCF volunteers, Georgianna DeJohn and Noah Outlin for helping hand out the medals as everyone crossed the finish line!
