Advocacy on the Move: the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation (FBCF) continues to advocate for our fellow Floridians and for increased funding for the Mary Brogan Program. The program provides potentially lifesaving screenings and diagnostics to low-income, uninsured, and underinsured women who do not qualify for Medicaid, and adequate funding is needed to ensure all women have access to vital screening services.
Thank you to FloridaPolitics for publishing our op-ed with American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) to urge the Florida Legislature to approve Governor Ron DeSantis' budget proposal to increase funding for the Mary Brogan Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program. Early detection can save lives and all should have access to screenings and care–no matter their income or location. Thank you to our FBCF advocates and supporters–let’s continue to make an even greater impact together. If you would like to do EVEN more, sign up for our Advocacy Alerts for updates on calls to action. Don't miss the opportunity to make your voice heard as we push our priorities through the legislature.
